ComicEx 2017 at Mall of the South


JOHANNESBURG, South Africa, October 2017 – For the first time EVER, superheroes will be taking over Mall of the South at ComicEx from the 2nd to the 3rd of December 2017, on Level 0 near Entrance 2, between 8am and 7pm on each day.

ComicEx is a Comic-Con style event with a celebration of different aspects of “geek culture”. A place where fans of gaming, sci-fi movies, cosplay, superheroes and villains, wizards, zombies, etc. can come together and have pure fun.

Mall of the South in association with Caxton Alberton Record, Comaro Chronicle, Southern Courier and GetIt Jo’burg South and Alberton, Easyweb and Dion Wired, are proud to host the first ComicEx in South Africa.
Come as your favourite hero or villain and join us at ComicEx with loads of entertainment, including: live action role play, cosplay, gaming, alien paintball arena, movie theatre, free Wi-Fi access compliments of Easyweb, comic book stalls, merchandizing stalls, giveaways and much more.

ComixEx is strictly a pre-ticketed event. One-hundred Rand (R100) gets you in per day or one-hundred-and-fifty Rand (R150) for two days. Tickets are limited, so be sure to get your tickets from Easyweb, Mall of the South Centre Management and at selected restaurant at the Mall, including: Col’cacchio, South Dakota Spur, Just Darling coffee shop, Mochachos and Rocomamas. No tickets will be sold at the door.

A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Johannesburg Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). A local children’s’ home will also be invited to enjoy a VIP experience at ComicEx.

“A hero can be anyone” (Batman, The Dark Knight Rises); so tell your friends; tell all your friends, Mall of the South is the place to be this December.
